Vegetable Spring Rolls Recipe

This recipe is a common classic Chinese dish which is filled with stir fried vegetables. This is very tasty and delicious dish, these rolls makes it perfect to serve for home parties, birthday, and for your kids.

How to make vegetable spring rolls

SERVES:10-12(spring rolls)           TIME:25-30 min.

  • Spring roll wrappers- 10-12 
  • Spring onions green chopped- 2 stalk
  • Cabbage finely shredded- 1/4 cup 
  • Onions thinly sliced- 1/4 cup
  • Carrots thinly sliced- 2 medium
  • Green capsicum chopped-1 medium 
  • Bean sprouts-3/4 cup
  • Cornflour/ corn starch 1 tbsp
  • Black pepper powder -1/4 teaspoon
  • Soy sauce-1 tbsp
  • Salt to taste 
  • Oil for deep frying


  • First, to make stuffing for rolls. Heat a 2 tbsp oil in a non- stick pan, add cabbage, onions, carrots, capsicum, bean sprouts, salt and toss it.
  • Now, add pepper powder and soy sauce and mix well.
  • Saute the vegetables on high heat, until lightly softened.
  • Transfer the stuffing in a bowl and allow to cool completely. 

Spring Rolls-

  • Now, divide the stuffing into 10- 12 portions and place a stuffing on one side or on edge of each wrapper.
  • Fold  the rolls from the filled corner  and roll tightly.
  • Apply cornflour paste to open corner and seal it,  make sure the corner are sealed well.
  • Repeat the same steps and make the rest of spring rolls.
  • Keep the rolls under a damp cloth.It prevents the rolls from drying.
  • In preheat oil, gently slide the rolls into the hot oil and deep fry till golden and crisp.
  • Cut into smaller pieces and serve along with tomato or chili sauce.
